Tiny Tunes for Tots Policies for 2024-2025

On-going Enrollment and Tuition

On-going enrollment means that you can join (space permitting) or unenroll from Kindermusik classes at any time.

Tuition fees are processed on the 1st day of the month. Monthly payments have factored in the number of classes for the year, including studio closures for holidays. Most months will have four lessons, but some may have three or five. The monthly fees have been averaged out across the year for equal payments to make it consistent and easy for budgeting.

Upon registration, your credit card will be charged a one-time, non-refundable $25 clerical fee which will secure your child’s spot in the program.

Please note: classes may be added or cancelled due to enrollment numbers.

Late Payments

If late payments are not made by the 10th of the month, an additional $10 charge will be added to your account. If payment is still in arrears by the 20th of the month, an additional $15 charge will be placed on your account. Failure to pay for classes on time may result in being removed from the program.

Discounts

  • 10% off the monthly fee for each additional sibling enrolled in Kindermusik classes.

If you are eligible to receive the sibling discount, please email Miss Alysia at tinytunesfortots@outlook.com for assistance.

Referral Program

Earn $10 off your next month's tuition for each friend you refer who enrolls! You can refer unlimited friends, but both you and your referral must be actively enrolled in the program at the time of the referral. To receive the discount, the new enrollee must include your full name on their registration form. Referrals can be made across different program levels and locations, but each new participant can only list one referrer.

Home Materials

Included in your monthly tuition is access to the at home digital albums, e-books, and more on the Kindermusik App.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to withdraw from the program for any reason, you must email: tinytunesfortots@outlook.com on/by the 23rd of the month to not be charged the next months tuition. If you cancel classes on/by the 23rd of the month, you will still have access to the classes until the end of that month.

There are no refunds if you miss the deadline to cancel.

Holidays

Tiny Tunes for Tots will be closed for Christmas break: December 23, 2024 – January 4, 2025 with classes resuming on Monday, January 6, 2025

Summer holidays/closure: June 29, 2025 – August 25, 2025. It is possible that the studio may run programming during the summer, but at this time it is a scheduled break.

If you register for a Monday class and it falls on a provincial/federal holiday, we are still having regularly scheduled class on that day.

Closures/Snow Days

If your public school (Waterloo Region District School Board) is closed, the corresponding studio location will be closed as well. If an inclement weather closure occurs, class will be rescheduled on a Friday at the Ayr location only. If you have signed up for classes at the Kitchener location, the Friday class will take place in Ayr. Details will be emailed regarding rescheduled classes.

If Miss Alysia is off sick, rescheduled classes may take place during the first week of July by adding an additional week of classes.

Closures for inclement weather and/or studio closure due to illness will be posted on the Tiny Tunes for Tots Facebook and Instagram pages. Parents will be notified by email if a closure occurs. It is the responsibility of the parent/caregiver to ensure that you check your messages to see if the studio is closed.

Make-up Classes

Need to miss a class? Are you feeling sick? Worried about driving in the weather? Have some great holiday plans? While enrolled for classes at Tiny Tunes for Tots studio, you have access to unlimited make-up classes. Classes must be used within the current academic year (e.g. September 2024-June 2025) and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are only a certain number of make-up spots available per class, so don’t let them pile up. You can sign-up for a make-up class at either studio location regardless of where you are registered. Make-up classes do not carry over to July/August programming. You cannot make-up a missed make-up class. Register for a make-up class by signing into your my.kindermusik.com account (account created during registration process).

Due to the make-up class option, there will be no refunds for missed classes.

Please note: if you unenroll from the program, any leftover make-up classes will become void.

Behaviour

Although we understand that children cannot be happy all the time, it is expected that children and their families will always behave in a respectful and safe manner. If a child becomes inconsolably upset, please use the waiting area or step outside the studio for a “cool down” period. Any physically aggressive or excessively negative behaviour will not be tolerated. Although this is a last resort, if such behaviour persists, the student and/or caregiver may be asked to leave the program.

Photography and Video

Absolutely no photography or recording is allowed in the studio without direct permission from Miss Alysia.

Cleaning

All toys, books, stuffies, scarves, etc. are cleaned with baby safe products in between use. Cleaning products that are being used are Hello Bello and Attitude brand. Stuffies and scarves that go through the washing machine are cleaned with unscented, oatmeal-based Attitude detergent. If there are any allergy concerns with the products being used, please let me know.

Locations

Although classes are hosted in a church, all classes are non-religious, and everyone is welcome.

Kitchener East Presbyterian Church

This is a peanut, nut, and egg free facility. Please do not bring any kind of peanut, nut or egg product into the church. You can bring snacks into the studio for your child, but please do not bring in anything that can stain or be messy (e.g. no chocolate, coffee, or snacks that can melt).

There is a washroom located in the studio room. Please use the diaper genie for any dirty diapers or wipes. Please do not dispose of these items in the washrooms located down the hall.

Please remove all outdoor shoes in the entrance of the room. There is a place to hang coats as well. As the studio is being used multiple times a day, we want to keep it as clean as possible for the next groups coming into the studio.

Once class starts, the doors to the room will be closed. If you arrive after class has started, please come join us, but ensure that you close the door tightly behind you. This will help to keep the little ones safe and be respectful of other activities that might be going on in the church.

Free outdoor parking is located on site. You can park in the lower or upper level, but the entrance to the studio will be through the lower-level door. Please be respectful of accessible parking and only use those spaces if you have an accessible parking permit.

Ayr United Church

This is not a peanut, nut or egg free facility. Even though it is not peanut, nut or egg free, please do not bring any kind of products with these ingredients into the church. You can bring snacks into the studio for your child, but please do not bring in anything that can stain or be messy (e.g. no chocolate, coffee, or snacks that can melt).

There is a daycare that runs in the church during the week, and they use the women’s washroom. Kindermusik families have been asked to only use the accessible washroom. Please note that there is no change table located in this washroom. The change table is upstairs in the studio. Please use the diaper genie for any dirty diapers or wipes. Please do not dispose of these items in the accessible washroom.

To reach the studio, you must be able to climb 14 steps with your little one up to the studio location.

Please remove all outdoor shoes once you walk through the baby gate at the entrance of the room. There is a place to hang coats as well. As the studio is being used multiple times a day, we want to keep it as clean as possible for the next groups coming into the studio. It is the responsibility of caregivers to help keep the space safe for your children, please ensure to lock the baby gate behind you.

Once class starts, the doors to the room will be closed. If you arrive after class has started, please come join us, but ensure that you close the door tightly behind you. This will help to keep the little ones safe and be respectful of other activities that might be going on in the church.

Free outdoor parking is located on site. Please be respectful of accessible parking and only use those spaces if you have an accessible parking permit. Entrance to the studio will be through the main door; however, when the weather is nice or if an event is taking place in the auditorium, you may be advised to walk across the grass to the back door entrance. This would be communicated before class.
